Bitcoin (BTC) mining firm Bitdeer introduced immediately that it had acquired a 101-MW gas-fired energy plant close to Fox Creek, Alberta, to construct a “vertically built-in” BTC mining operation.
“We’re actually enthusiastic about planting roots in Alberta, our first website in Canada. This acquisition is the fruits of in depth collaboration with a number of authorities companies and the Canadian Blockchain Consortium,” Haris Basit, chief technique officer at Bitdeer, mentioned in a press launch. “It marks a big step in our technique to develop into the primary fully-vertically built-in Bitcoin miner, giving us unmatched management over prices, vitality effectivity, and scalability.”
