5 U.S. states—Vermont, South Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois, and Alabama—have formally withdrawn their staking-related lawsuits in opposition to Coinbase. Alabama’s Securities Fee was the most recent to dismiss its case on April 23, citing collaborative efforts between the SEC and the cryptocurrency trade to develop clearer regulatory frameworks.

This adopted the SEC’s earlier transfer to dismiss its federal lawsuit in opposition to Coinbase in February, a serious shift that has inspired a number of states to reevaluate their authorized stances.
